The individual and community

In the heart of every individual is the seed of creation. Just as fruit is the full expression of its own seed, each of us needs a full and beautiful expression of ourselves.

And just as the fruit is not a separate entity unto itself but is a part of a larger expression called the tree, we too are part of the creative universe that is still evolving and unfolding.

The process of moving from seed to fruit requires nurture, openness, support, light, and the grounding of the Earth. It requires cross-pollination, mutual cooperation, and collaboration. Essentially, it requires friends and community.

The Spiritual Life Foundation envisions our individual spiritual journey as part of a collective journey that organically creates a full expression of life envisioned as a tree of life.

Our Core Values

Open-mindedness

The spiritual journey is a process like an explorer’s hike through uncharted territory. It requires flexibility and openness to try new terrain, to change directions, to make mistakes, and to backtrack when necessary.

In the context of spirituality, this requires open-mindedness rather than conviction. While we will have our beliefs, the spiritual journey will often challenge and change those beliefs along the way.

Community Centered

The Spiritual Life Foundation is a safe and accepting place for those seeking the nurture and encouragement of a spiritual community.

Whether we serve as your primary spiritual community, a part of a larger network of spiritual communities, or a temporary waystation, the SLF strives to be a supportive, nurturing, and collaborative partner on your journey.

Inclusion & Acceptance

The Spiritual Life Foundation welcomes all persons regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity, and sexual orientation. We hope to provide friendship, guidance, and resources for those seeking to expand their perspectives on spirituality.
